Save the Date: International Symposium
The CompSeq team, together with BrainLinks-BrainTools at the University of Freiburg, is hosting an International Symposium on Sensorimotor Transformation on October 15–16, 2026, in Freiburg — a meeting point for neuroscience and AI.
The symposium examines sensorimotor transformations and the role of internal world models in perception, action, and adaptation, bringing together researchers from neuroscience, neurotechnology, artificial intelligence, and robotics to discuss how biological and artificial systems integrate sensory information, build predictive models of the environment, and translate these into goal-directed action.
- Date: October 15–16, 2026
- Location: Aula, Kollegiengebäude 1, Platz der Universität 3, 79098 Freiburg
- Organizer: BrainLinks-BrainTools, Universität Freiburg
- Program & registration: uni-freiburg.de/brainlinks-braintools/international-symposium-on-sensorimotor-transformation
Speakers include Mario Prsa (University of Fribourg), Giacomo Valle (Chalmers University), Silvia Arber (University of Basel), Gordon Cheng (TUM), and Andrew Straw (University of Freiburg), covering topics from bidirectional neuroprosthetics and neural circuits of movement control to robotic sensorimotor learning.
